Al Shefa’s Polyclinic radiology department offers a wide range of Radiology Services that encompasses a group of highly trained professionals with international expertise that work together to provide the best quality of patient care in all aspects of radiology.
The radiology team will provide services to patients in all radiology specialties and subspecialties including musculoskeletal, body imaging, neuroradiology, ultrasound and cardiac and interventional radiology.
Our radiologists bring years of international experience, including significant international expertise. They are leaders in their field in Qatar and are active in training others.
Services Offered at our Radiology Department includes the following:
- X-Ray imaging: X–ray imaging creates pictures of the inside of your body. The images show the parts of your body in different shades of black and white. This is because different tissues absorb different amounts of radiation.
- Panoramic X-Ray: is a two-dimensional (2-D) dental x–ray examination that captures the entire mouth in a single image, including the teeth, upper and lower jaws, surrounding structures and tissues. The jaw is a curved structure similar to that of a horseshoe.
- Ultrasound: An ultrasound is an imaging test that uses sound waves to create a picture (also known as a sonogram) of organs, tissues, and other structures inside the body. Unlike x-rays, ultrasounds don’t use any radiation.
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): Magnetic resonance imaging is a medical imaging technique used in radiology to form pictures of the anatomy and the physiological processes of the body. MRI scanners use strong magnetic fields, magnetic field gradients, and radio waves to generate images of the organs in the body.
